View the full plan here! For our Masters in Urban Planning cirriculum our team drafted a corridor improvement plan for the city of Waukesha, Wisconsin. The plan includes detailed analysis and documentation of current and historic site conditions and uses. Additionally, the plan provides recommendations for a form based code to be father developed by the city. Lastly the plan details
street scaping guidelines.
Residents and stakeholders in the city of waukesha were invited to a rapid design prototyping event. At the event participants replied to answers in a survey, heard our analysis of the current conditions of the corridor, and then sketched their own ideas for the 3 sections of the street that we investigated.
The participant’s ideas and resposes closely informed our final recomendations for the redesign of the St. Paul Ave. corridor. In the survey responses we learned that participants want to see the neighborhood rebranded as the the river district.
The team prepared a rendered plan of the St. Paul Corridor with all of the recommended code implementations and streetscaping improvements.
